BEFORE & AFTER CARE

MICROSHADING

Following the microshading aftercare instructions is imperative in order to give your fully healed eyebrows the naturally beautiful look you want.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLORATION.

AFTER THE MICROSHADING PROCEDURE, IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO PREVENT SOAP, WATER, LOTION, AND MAKEUP FROM COMING IN CONTACT WITH YOUR EYEBROWS FOR 14 DAYS (REFER TO DAY-1 AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ONLY EXCEPTION).

While showering keep your face completely away from the showerhead, or take a bath to avoid any water from contacting your microshaded eyebrows. A barrier ointment should be applied to protect your brows.

DAY-1:

  • Use a clean, washed finger to lightly apply the aftercare ointment to the microshaded area. Remember, this process needs to be done once an hour for the rest of the day.

DAY 2-7:

  • Apply the aftercare ointment as needed continually throughout the day.

  • Itching is likely to occur throughout the early stages of the microshading healing process. Most clients typically only use the aftercare ointment to help ease the itching sensation.

ALL 14 DAYS:

It is critical to AVOID the following during all 14 days after your microshading procedure.

  • Touching the eyebrow area except only when following the aftercare instructions for Day 1 and also Days 2 - 7.

  • Scratching, picking or peeling the eyebrow area where the microshading occurred to prevent scarring and the pigment from being removed.

  • Sun exposure - sun tanning - salon tanning

  • Laser or chemical peels, and any other form of exfoliation

  • Exercise - participating in sports and activities that induce perspiration (over)

  • Long, hot baths or showers - jacuzzis - saunas - swimming

  • Applying any creams to your face or neck containing retinol or glycolic acid.

  • Engaging in tasks like heavy household cleaning where airborne debris can become prevalent.

  • Transportation in vehicles where strong wind is present, for example; driving in cars with the windows down, convertibles, motorcycles, bicycles, and boats.

  • Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol, as it can cause wounds to heal slower.

AFTER DAY 14:

  • It’s now okay to resume all your normal activities except, continue to avoid any creams containing retinol and/or glycolic acid until after the completion of your microshading touch-up appointment, and its healing process as well.
